The 68th Annual Convention of the Episcopal Diocese of Northwest Texas

October 22–24, 2026 | Lubbock, Texas

Clergy and lay leaders from across the Diocese of Northwest Texas will gather in Lubbock this October for the 68th Annual Diocesan Convention, hosted by St. Paul’s on the Plains Episcopal Church.

Diocesan Convention is one of the central gatherings of our shared life—a time to worship together, renew relationships across our geographically expansive diocese, conduct the business of the Church, and celebrate the ministry God is doing throughout Northwest Texas.

This year’s convention will include optional workshops and fellowship on Thursday evening, Opening Eucharist on Friday morning, business sessions on Friday and Saturday, and our Friday evening social hour and convention dinner.

 

Registration Is Coming Soon

Registration is not yet open. Clergy, delegates, parish administrators, and others attending convention should keep an eye on their email for registration information and links in the coming weeks.

Each attendee—including spouses and guests—will need to register using a unique individual email address. This is especially important because convention communications and electronic voting information will be sent directly to registered participants.

Once registration opens, the deadline to register without a late fee will be October 8, 2026.

• 4:00 p.m. – Optional Workshop Sessions, Round Two

• 5:00 p.m. – Welcome & Social Time

• 6:00 p.m. – Evening Prayer

• 6:30 p.m. – Adjournment; dinner on your own

 

Friday, October 23

• 9:30 a.m. – Opening Holy Eucharist - St. Paul’s on the Plains Episcopal Church

• 11:30 a.m. – Lunch - McKenzie-Merket Alumni Center, Texas Tech University

  • A clergy spouse lunch will also take place at 11:30 a.m. at the Texas Tech Club.

• 1:00–4:00 p.m. – Business Session - McKenzie-Merket Alumni Center

 

Friday Evening – Social Hour & Convention Dinner

Saturday, October 24

• 9:30 a.m. – Morning Prayer & Final Business Session
