For the first time in many years, St Nick’s had a Christmas Eve Christmas Pageant. We spent the three weeks before Christmas making simple poncho costumes after buying all the felt left in Midland! The beautiful story of the birth of Jesus was told by children and adults in an adorable and meaningful way differently this year.
The Holy Family’s donkey had some slight trouble with his floppy ears. There was a giraffe and a lobster present among the sheep and shepherds. The shepherds did not need to be told “Be not afraid” of our sweet angels.
At the close of the service, we lit candles and sang Silent Night before leaving with the knowledge that we had truly seen Jesus’ birth in a new way this Christmas.
