Epiphany 2026 Diocesan Camp Update
“You won’t find any more serious formation in the Episcopal Church [than camp].” -Presiding Bishop Sean Rowe
As you bundle up this winter…remember…summer is coming! And with that is, of course, Camp Quarterman and Camp Quarterman Jr.
June 21-26 our older group (youth completed 7-12 grades in May 2026) will get on a chartered bus with stops in Lubbock and Amarillo and then head to Cathedral Ridge Colorado. While there we will experience God’s creation in the mountains. We will fish, kayak, hike, play games, learn Bible lessons, sing, do some amazing crafts, and sit around the campfire making and eating s’mores.
July 12-17 Camp Quarterman Jr will gather at Ceta Glen near Happy Texas. Camp Quarterman Jr. is for our youth who will have completed grades 2-5 in May 2026). We will experience God’s creation at the bottom of a branch of the Palo Duro Canyon. We will sing, play games, hike to the cross, learn Bible lessons, enjoy crafts, and of course, eat lots of s’mores around the campfire.
There will be some changes…This year, we will have a limited number of spaces at each camp. And once those are full, your camper can be added to the wait list. And we will have a deadline for registration. We will send info out to the returning campers, churches and anyone we have an email for—and we ask you pass the information on!
We are also going to be reaching out to our churches about hosting a fundraiser for the camp program. Maybe a loose plate offering, bake sale, dinner, etc. Even if you don’t have campers attending this year, it is a great way to support our diocesan younger members this way. So, think of some “outside” the box ways your parish can support camp. I would love to hear from about your ideas @ at nwtxyouth@icloud.com or 806-445-3667.
Please watch your email. Check out our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/CampQuarterman for registration information soon.
And please pray for our team and the campers who will attend. We hope to see all our campers from around the diocese this summer.
Renee
