Dedication of Historical Marker at St. Michael and All Angels, Shamrock

On July 4, 1909, The Rt. Rev. Alexander Garrett consecrated St. Michael and All Angels, Shamrock, Texas as a mission church in the Missionary District of Northern Texas.  Since that time, St. Michael’s has never had a resident priest but has been served by lay members and visiting clergy.  On Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 4:00 pm, a dedication ceremony will be held unveiling a historical marker placed on the property by the Wheeler County Historical Commission on behalf of the Texas Historical Commission.  The church is excited about this event and invites all in our diocese to join them, if able.  Bp. Mayer will offer the Invocation at the dedication ceremony.
