The Winter/Spring semester is well underway at Emmanuel School of Fine Arts, a ministry of Emmanuel Church, San Angelo. We have nearly 800 students participating in some amazing programs, with many awards and student accomplishments to share. Community Votes San Angelo 2024 Awards have been announced and for the first time ever ESoFA was nominated and awarded Platinum in both the Art Schools & Lessons and Youth Music Lessons categories! It speaks volumes when members of the community use social media to highlight our programming. Congratulations to all the teachers and staff who work hard to provide fine arts education to the youth in our community.

Speaking of youth- let’s brag about some of them: Private music students studying with Jimmy Shanks, Nikolaus Villareal and Shelby Lyons, were selected as first and second chair percussionists for All-Area Band and will advance to All-State in ATSSB (the small school version of TMEA)! Stephanie Dearborn’s entire private lesson studio consisting of Oliver Snow, Anna Resta, Ady Jones, Sophia Underhill, and Ian Caraballo traveled to the Wagner Noel Performing Arts Center in Midland, to perform in All Region Band clinics and concerts on January 18th. Ian Caraballo (clarinet) and Sophia Underhill (flute) will advance to All-State later this spring!

If you are in or near San Angelo on March 13, we invite you to winter concert featuring the Concert Band, Jazz Band, Saxophone Choirs, Small Ensembles, and Choir.
