Worship on the Spade Ranch

On May 17, 2026, the congregations of All Saints Episcopal Church, Colorado City, and St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, Sweetwater, gathered together for a special Rogation Sunday service at Renderbrook Spade Ranch, south of Colorado City.

The service was held on the porch of the Rock House, with Father Edson and Jenny Way serving as hosts. During the service, 

the congregations offered prayers for all creation, for a good growing season, and for those whose work helps provide the food we eat.

Following worship, everyone gathered for a plentiful potluck meal and time for conversation and fellowship.

It was a joyful day of worship, community, and gratitude for God’s creation — with just a bit of wind and, thankfully, no rattlesnakes.
